To make that picture display larger, you need to upload a larger profile picture on the web portal, via your Profile page. Or, if you change your mind about having a Zoom profile photo, just select Delete. On the same Profile page, you can also edit other personal information.

Next to your profile picture is your display name. You can select edit in the right top corner of the screen and change it. You can also edit your email address and change your Zoom user type. Next time you are on a Zoom video call and decide to turn off your camera, other participants will see your profile picture.

But you can also add a profile picture during your Zoom video call. Just follow these steps:. There are four ways you can log in to your Zoom account. To enlarge it, select Large. To zoom in on a specific area of the picture, select Zoom In to adjust it, and then click and drag or tap and drag to center it where you want. To zoom out, select Zoom Out , and then click and drag or tap and drag to center it where you want.

Select Alternative text for screen readers icon with a letter in it , and then enter the text you want to have screen readers narrate when it’s focused on the picture.

We want to hear from you! Add a picture to a question. Delete a picture. Add a video to a question. Adjust your form settings. Send your form to others.

Navigate to the file you want to upload, then click on it to select it and click the Open button to upload it. As a quick reminder, to view the participant list, in the Zoom menu at the bottom of the window, click Participants and the list will appear.

Hover over your name, and the More button will appear to the right of your name. Click the More button, and in the menu that appears, click Rename. Type your name into the field, and then click the OK button when you’re done. Your displayed name will change in the participant list to match what you typed in the Rename dialog box. Adding or changing a profile picture on the Zoom website To start, in a web browser, go to zoom.

What’s New at Zoom? Join our upcoming webinar to get a first-hand look into some of our exciting new product and feature releases. I have noticed in Zoom meetings all the profile pics looks the same size when someone is screen sharing, but once screen sharing stops and the center of the screen gets populated with profile pics, half of the pics look like small tiles surrounded by a black box. The other half are full sized. Mine is one of the ones that always appears tiny in no-screen-share mode.

My profile pic is x so I do not think the resolution is the problem. I can’t find any settings that affect this appearance issue. Those whose pics show full size always show full size, those who show up as tiles always show up as tiles. Does anyone know the secret to getting my profile pic to show up in zoom without it getting shrunk down to a tile?

Hi bigteks , thank you for your contribution to the Zoom community! We are so happy to have you here.. Our experts will get back to you with a response, but in the meantime, we encourage fellow community members to also share their knowledge on this topic!

The behaviour you are describing is not expected, there is no specific settings to change the profile picture size when video is off.

It should stay the same across the meeting before and after screen sharing. Could you please check if you are running the latest version of the Zoom client? If not, you can download it from zoom. I have upgraded to the most recent Zoom – Version 5. Here is an example of the problem attached. The profile pics circled in green are showing full size as expected.

The profile pics circled in red are showing reduced size. The rest of the participants have their cameras on. Could you please confirm if everyone in the meeting was seeing the two red participants with small profile picture? Or was only your gallery view affected? Thank you bigteks for answering my question. Can you just confirm if this behaviour shows if and only if a participant shares the screen and then stops sharing? Are the small pictures persisting if you try to switch to active speaker view and then back to gallery view?

What appears to happen for the smaller pics is there is no scaling applied to them in any view. They are always in a black framing box and only the framing box is scaling. You can use your work email, Facebook, a Single Sign-on, or use your Google account. In the latter case, Zoom will automatically load your Google or Gmail Profile picture as a Zoom profile picture. If your Google profile is without an image, you can add it there first and then log into Zoom. That way, you will have the same picture in both locations with just one upload.

You can change your Google profile picture from your mobile device as well. But once they do, the same image will appear in all Google products, wherever you sign in with your account. Zoom is a program that has been available for a long time, but it is more widely used in than ever before.

Also, keep in mind, Zoom meeting administrators have a lot of control over what you can do within the meeting. This means they may have turned the option to show profile pictures off within their meeting. To confirm, create your own meeting and see if your profile picture appears.

How many profile pictures do you have across apps and platforms? Probably many.
